Our History

Founded in 1803 as the First Presbyterian Church in Westtown, this “little church on the hill” has been proclaiming the word of God for more than 200 years.  Rich in early American history and nestled in the Minisink Valley region of the Upper Delaware River Valley, Westtown is a beautiful place to live and worship.  Established in tradition and rooted in the beliefs of the early Presbyterian Church, we joined the Evangelical Presbyterian denomination in 2010 and became the Westtown Evangelical Presbyterian Church (WEPC).

Although an old church, we believe we are anything but “old”. We feel that we have successfully blended “modern” and “traditional” aspects of worship into our services by combining contemporary Praise music and the traditional Hymns so many of us have grown up with. At WEPC you will find casual attire is very much in “style” as well as the “Sunday best” look. We never judge anyone by their appearance but simply take joy in their presence with us.

We are a small but intimate church. We care for one another, pray for one another, support & encourage one another, cry with one another and rejoice with one another. We are a FAMILY . . . and our desire is to include you in our family at Westtown. We are sure you will find our congregation to be warm and welcoming so we invite you to join us for our worship service on Sunday mornings.

Come walk with us. Come grow with us.

Come be a part of God’s family with us.
